Final Concept Sketch

My final project for PComp is a surge protector that removes itself from the wall.  It is in the shape of a cricket.  When the user turns the lights off to leave* the surge protector will turn on and the legs will push off of the wall with a either a spring mechanism or a servo motor, thereby pushing off the wall and unplugging itself.  The user will then come home, see the protector unplugged and while plugging it back in, become energy conscious.  The second phase, if I can find the time at the end, is to add a wave shield and about 6 hobgoblins.  The hobgoblins are using the cricket as a Trojan Horse to escape the household.  Using a wave shield to create sounds for the hobgoblins, they will cry freedom before getting unplugged and ending their victory song.  IF that last part doesn’t make sense, then you should help me make it so I can show you what I mean. :)
